Shivam Sai Gupta at NASSCOM Animation and Gaming Forum

I got invited to talk @ NASSCOM as a speaker in an 'un-conference' session. Had a wonderful first-time experience as a speaker. I also got nominated in the Level Up 2010 contest.

Shivam Sai Gupta giving speech @ NASSCOM

Most of you probably know about NASSCOM already but here is a phrase from nasscom.com
"   As part of NASSCOM’s initiatives to promote the growth of the Animation and Gaming Industry in India, NAGFO (NASSCOM Animation & Gaming Forum) was formed to catalyze the growth of the Industry and also establish an interface with the government."

I speaked on 12th November 2010 in HICC, Novotel Hotel, Hyderabad. Probably my speech gone better than expected with lots of audience involvement. I talked about the creation of my game 'Terror Attack: Project Fateh', the problems, limitations and other interesting animation and gaming stuff.  Here is a quote from The Hindu Business Line

"  For Shivam Sai Gupta, the 14-year-old from Patna, making computer games is literally a child's play. Drew to computers after he stumbled upon a Power Point presentation when he was 11, Shivam developed a penchant for computer and eventually became a games lover.

Browsing the Internet as he moved from one games portal to another, Shivam had toyed with the idea of developing his own games. Without any formal training, he has begun building ideas for games.

Recently, he developed and put on live a game based on 26/11 (when terrorists attacked Mumbai on November 26, 2008). Indiagames, the games developing company that has offered to provide him with necessary infrastructure to develop computer games, has decided to write a mobile version of the game.

No wonder, the 14-year-old is getting all the focus at Nasscom's two-day Animation Gaming Conclave being held here.  "

The 'Best Overall Game' won by Shivam Sai Gupta whose game 'Terror Attack, Project Fateh' won the title. A game based on Mumbai, 26/11 Terror Attacks.

AND A SUPER-GOOD NEWS: My game, Terror Attack: Project Fateh, which is a 3D FPS PC game based on the 26/11 mumbai terror attacks, available on http://www.projectfateh.com, won the Best Overall Game of 2010... in Intel Level Up 2010 Contest. Got the mind-blugging filled with excitement prize: Alienware 15x... not started using it yet.
